I was in church 9 months before I was born. Church life has always been part of who I am. When I was six years old, my grandfather died and I asked my mom, “Where is PopPop now?” She said, “in Heaven with Jesus.” Wherever he was I wanted to be there. I just had to get there, I had to know who this Jesus guy was, so I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior and got baptized. It wasn’t until I was in 6th grade where I felt the rush of the Holy Spirit come upon my life and change me forever. As a junior in high school, I felt God tugging on my heart to answer the call into ministry. After getting my Bachelor’s of Arts in Communication at Christopher Newport University in 2006,I tried to delay answering God’s call…but He had other plans. I began full-time ministry in 2008 by serving the students at Immanuel Baptist Church. I was ordained in 2012 and a year later I started the journey to get my Masters of Divinity degree from Liberty University Online and graduated in 2017. In the midst of that, I transitioned to a new assignment in God’s Kingdom at First Baptist Church of Newport News where I led their student ministry. God gave me a new assignment in May of 2021 to serve as the Student Pastor at Coastal Community Church.
I am a film and music connoisseur. I play drums and the guitar and love writing songs. I love to play basketball, grill, play video games, dabble in graphic design and film-making. I’m an NBA fan, LOVE chocolate chip cookies (no nuts lol!), they are my go-to, a fair-weather fan of the 49ers and love me some Jesus!
