I am not alone. While raised by 2 wonderful parents, married for over 45 years, and a younger sister, I was always searching for love and acceptance. It was always there (Matt. 18:10-14).
I am loved. After attending ECU (Go Pirates) and meeting Hunter. We married in 2009 and planted roots at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Edenton, NC (1 Cor. 13:4-13). We welcomed our children there, Brycen (15) and AG (13).
I am saved. On an ordinary Sunday, October 27, 2019, at Clinton Community Church, something extraordinary happened. I truly felt the Holy Spirit enter my heart and tell me that I am enough. He has turned my world upside down in the BEST way.
I am called. I am talented. Feeling called into the light to serve right before Kellam was announced, I took a leap of faith. Time to share my talent and love to people and children. As a 20-year elementary educator, I felt called to FIT or Coastal Kids. Not knowing where my path would lead, I felt peace the entire time (Pro. 19:20). It led Deb to me and a call to serve at Glenwood. It also led to my beach re-baptism on August 9, 2026, as a public proclamation of my faith and belief in Jesus. God is doing big things in and through Coastal, me, and in these Coastal Kids.
I am honored to be a small part of it.
I am Jess. A child of God.
