I first encountered Christ through Young Life’s summer camp at Saranac Lake, a camp that no one in my high school thought I would attend because of my lifestyle. After a year of living a double life, I decided to give everything to Christ the following summer at Lake Champion. Through God’s timing, the prayers of my family, and the love of people close to me, I surrendered and “put on the new self” and later found my calling as a worship leader.
After I graduated from Salem High School in Virginia Beach, I went to Tidewater Community College for three semesters studying business management. Concurrently, I led Young Life at Kempsville High School, leading worship and teaching. I also started to learn how to be a worship leader at Coastal Community Church’s Glenwood Campus. I became Coastal’s first year long intern for worship/student ministry then transitioned to a permanent staff position leading worship and learning how to build our video ministry. In 2009, I started a worship band called Vessel Of Hope (VOH) and led worship along the east coast for youth retreats, church revivals, and worship concerts.
I’m married to Jennifer and father to Noella and Jesse. I enjoy competitive golf, surfing, snowboarding, and Outer Banks weekend trips.
